A titanium implant placed in the jaw to replace the root of a missing tooth, later restored with a crown to fill the gap without involving the neighbouring teeth. Implants help maintain bone and restore natural function for eating and speaking. Milanova plans implant placement with in-house cone-beam CT, and offers bone and soft-tissue grafting and sinus-lift procedures for cases where additional support is needed.

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root. A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone where, over a healing period, it integrates with the surrounding bone to provide a stable foundation. A custom crown is then attached to restore the visible tooth. Because the implant stands alone, neighbouring healthy teeth are left untouched — an advantage over a conventional bridge — and the implant also helps preserve the jawbone that tends to shrink after a tooth is lost. At Milanova implant treatment is planned using the clinic's in-house cone-beam CT, which shows the bone volume and the position of nerves and the sinus in three dimensions so the implant can be placed safely and accurately. Placement is carried out under local anaesthetic. Where the available bone is insufficient, the clinic offers bone regeneration (grafting) and soft-tissue regeneration to build a healthier site, as well as closed or open sinus-lift procedures in the upper back jaw. After integration, an impression or scan is taken and the implant is completed with a crown. The process typically spans several months to allow healing between stages, and a temporary restoration can be arranged in the interim where appropriate. For patients missing several or all teeth, the clinic also provides full-arch solutions; suitability, the number of implants, any grafting and the overall sequence and cost are confirmed after assessment and imaging.
