Scans are interpreted by the hospital's radiology department and can target any body region — brain, spine, joints, abdomen, pelvis, or soft tissue. MRI uses magnetic fields rather than ionising radiation, making it suitable for patients who require repeated imaging or prefer a radiation-free approach.

MEOCLINIC's radiology department operates modern MRI equipment within the hospital, allowing scans to be scheduled as standalone appointments or integrated into a broader checkup programme. The referring physician selects the appropriate scan protocol based on the clinical question — whether that is a knee joint assessment for an orthopaedic concern, a brain MRI for neurological symptoms, or an abdominal scan as part of a cancer screening workup. Because the scan is performed within a hospital that houses specialists across 30+ departments, findings can be discussed immediately with the relevant specialist if the images reveal something that requires further evaluation. This integrated pathway eliminates the delays that occur when imaging is performed at an external centre and results must be sent back to the referring doctor. Results are typically available within a few working days, with the radiologist's report delivered alongside the original images.
