Type
MRI Scan
Duration
1 hour
A standalone full-body magnetic resonance imaging scan covering major organ systems and anatomical structures without ionising radiation. Performed at Memorial Sisli's imaging department using hospital-grade MRI equipment, with results reviewed by board-certified radiologists. Available as an independent booking or as an add-on to check-up packages.
Full-body MRI provides a non-invasive, radiation-free method of evaluating soft tissue structures across the head, neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis in a single session. Unlike CT scanning, MRI uses magnetic fields and radiofrequency pulses rather than ionising radiation, making it suitable for individuals who wish to avoid cumulative radiation exposure from repeated imaging. At Memorial Sisli, full-body MRI is performed on hospital-grade equipment by technicians with experience in whole-body protocols, and all images are reviewed by board-certified radiologists. The scan may identify structural abnormalities, masses, organ changes, and musculoskeletal conditions that might not be apparent from clinical examination or blood work alone. It is worth noting that MRI has inherent limitations — it is less effective for certain bone conditions and lung parenchyma evaluation compared with CT, and incidental findings are common and may require further investigation. The scan is available as a standalone booking for patients who want imaging without a full check-up programme, or it can complement the check-up tiers for those who want to add cross-sectional imaging to their assessment. As with all Memorial international services, a personal translator and patient coordinator are available, and airport transfers may be arranged through the international patient department.
