A comprehensive sexually transmitted infection screening covering HIV, chlamydia (PCR urine), gonorrhoea (PCR urine), syphilis (TPPA), hepatitis C antibody, and hepatitis B (complete panel). PCR-based chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing provides higher sensitivity than culture methods. Blood and urine samples are collected in a single visit with same-day results for most markers.

This panel covers the six most clinically significant sexually transmitted infections using current best-practice testing methods. HIV screening uses a 4th-generation combination test detecting both antigen and antibody, which narrows the diagnostic window to approximately 2-4 weeks post-exposure compared to 4-12 weeks for older antibody-only assays. Chlamydia and gonorrhoea are tested by PCR on urine samples, achieving sensitivity above 95% without the discomfort of swab collection. Both infections are frequently asymptomatic, particularly in women, making routine screening the only reliable detection strategy. Syphilis screening uses TPPA, which is specific to Treponema pallidum antibodies. The hepatitis B panel includes surface antigen, surface antibody, and core antibody, distinguishing between active infection, resolved past infection, and vaccine-derived immunity. Hepatitis C antibody screens for current or previous exposure. All samples are collected in a single appointment at the Munich laboratory. Most results are available same day, though confirmatory testing for initially reactive results may add 24-48 hours. Testing is confidential.
