A broad micronutrient screen measuring 11 markers: ferritin, vitamin D3, vitamin B12, folic acid, iodine, zinc, selenium, vitamin B2, copper, calcium, and a blood count. Covers the minerals and vitamins most frequently deficient in central European diets. The inclusion of iodine and selenium distinguishes this panel from typical nutrient screens, as both are critical for thyroid function yet rarely tested in standard panels.
Micronutrient deficiencies develop gradually and often produce nonspecific symptoms — persistent fatigue, poor concentration, hair loss, frequent infections — that are commonly attributed to stress or ageing rather than investigated as correctable deficiencies. This panel targets the nutrients most commonly lacking in modern central European diets. Ferritin is the most sensitive early marker of iron depletion, falling well before haemoglobin drops into anaemic range. Vitamin D3 deficiency is endemic at northern latitudes, affecting bone density, immune function, and mood. Vitamin B12 and folic acid are essential for nervous system integrity and red blood cell production. Iodine is required for thyroid hormone synthesis, and mild deficiency has re-emerged in parts of Europe. Selenium supports thyroid hormone conversion from T4 to active T3 and acts as a cellular antioxidant. Zinc participates in over 300 enzymatic processes and is central to immune defence and wound healing. Vitamin B2 contributes to energy metabolism and may be particularly relevant for migraine-prone individuals. Copper and calcium complete the mineral assessment. The included blood count provides context for interpreting iron and B12 findings. Most standard markers are available same day, though trace elements may require 24-48 hours.
