Entry-level health screening panel covering 15 core blood markers including a large blood count, full lipid panel, liver enzymes, kidney function, fasting glucose, and uric acid. Priced at EUR 49.58 under GOAe 1.0x rates including blood draw and outpatient fees. No referral required -- walk in during collection hours and receive results the same day or next business day.
The Basis-Check at Mein Direktlabor provides a foundational metabolic and haematological assessment through 15 analytes drawn in a single venous sample. The large blood count (grosses Blutbild) delivers a complete haemogram with red and white cell parameters plus a five-part differential, screening for anaemia, infection, and haematological disorders in one pass. The lipid panel -- total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides -- provides the four markers required for cardiovascular risk stratification using the European Society of Cardiology SCORE2 algorithm. European guidelines recommend LDL below 2.6 mmol/L for moderate-risk patients, with more aggressive targets for those at higher risk. The total-cholesterol-to-HDL ratio and non-HDL cholesterol can be derived from these four values. Liver enzymes GGT (gamma-glutamyl transferase), GPT (ALT -- alanine aminotransferase), and GOT (AST -- aspartate aminotransferase) screen for hepatocellular damage and biliary dysfunction. ALT is the most liver-specific of the three; isolated GGT elevation is a common finding in moderate alcohol consumers. The AST-to-ALT ratio above 2 suggests alcohol-related liver disease. Creatinine with estimated glomerular filtration rate screens for chronic kidney disease, which affects roughly 10% of adults over 65. Fasting glucose detects diabetes mellitus (diagnostic threshold 7.0 mmol/L) and pre-diabetic states. Uric acid identifies hyperuricaemia, a risk factor for gout and an emerging marker for cardiovascular and renal risk. Total bilirubin screens for haemolysis and hepatic conjugation defects. Sodium, potassium, and calcium round out the metabolic picture. All pricing follows the GOAe at a 1.0x multiplier -- the lowest permissible rate under the German medical fee schedule. The EUR 4.20 blood draw fee (Blutentnahme) and EUR 7.40 outpatient consultation fee (ambulante Pauschale) are fixed per-visit surcharges applied regardless of the number of tests ordered.
