A fractional CO2 laser resurfaces the skin in microscopic columns to improve texture, fine lines, acne scarring, stretch marks and tone, prompting strong collagen renewal. Treatment can be focused on the whole face, the neck and décolletage, smaller zones such as the eyelids or mouth area, or individual scars and stretch marks. Because recovery and remodelling are gradual, results build over the weeks following each session.

About this treatment

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing delivers energy into the skin in a grid of microscopic treatment columns, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This fractional approach drives a strong collagen-remodelling response that smooths texture, softens fine lines, fades acne scarring and stretch marks and evens out tone, while the untreated bridges of skin between columns support faster recovery than fully ablative resurfacing of the whole surface.

At Medycyna Piękna the skin is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around thirty to forty-five minutes for the face. Afterwards the skin feels warm and looks flushed, with mild swelling and a sandpaper-like texture for a few days as it renews; diligent moisturising and strict sun protection are essential during recovery.
