IPL Hair Removal (IPL-SQ)

IPL hair removal uses broad-spectrum intense pulsed light, delivered by the IPL-SQ device, to reduce unwanted hair. The light is absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair shaft and follicle and converted to heat, which damages the follicle's ability to regrow hair. Because hair passes through growth, transition and resting phases and only actively growing hairs respond well, treatment is repeated to catch more follicles in the responsive phase over time.

At Medycyna Estetyczna Legnica the area is cleansed and the treatment takes from a few minutes for the upper lip up to around thirty minutes for larger areas such as the legs; a cooling sensation and a mild snap are felt with each pulse. Afterwards the skin may be slightly pink for a short time.
