Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing delivers a carbon-dioxide laser beam into the skin as a grid of microscopic treatment columns, leaving healthy bridges of untreated skin between them. This fractional pattern is associated with a strong collagen-remodelling response that smooths texture, softens fine lines, helps fade scarring and evens out tone, while the intact surrounding tissue allows faster recovery than older fully ablative resurfacing. The clinic also operates the laser in a more focused, surgical mode for individual lesions.
