Cervical Spine MRI

MRI of the cervical spine at 3 Tesla, evaluating intervertebral discs, spinal cord, nerve roots, facet joints, and surrounding soft tissues. Detects disc herniations, spinal stenosis, degenerative changes, and cord compression. Useful as a pre-surgical planning tool or for investigating neck pain and radiculopathy.

Cervical spine MRI at Medicover Hospital provides detailed cross-sectional imaging of the seven cervical vertebrae and the structures they protect. The 3T Magnetom 3 Neo delivers high-resolution sagittal and axial images that clearly delineate the intervertebral discs, spinal cord, neural foramina, and facet joints — structures where even millimetre-level changes can produce significant clinical symptoms. The examination is particularly valuable for patients presenting with neck pain radiating into the arms (cervical radiculopathy), numbness or tingling in the hands, or suspected cervical myelopathy with gait disturbance. Standard sequences demonstrate disc morphology, annular tears, osteophyte formation, and ligamentum flavum thickening. The superior spatial resolution at 3T helps differentiate between disc protrusion and extrusion, and accurately grades the degree of foraminal and central canal narrowing. Medicover also offers thoracic spine MRI and lumbar-sacral spine MRI at the same base price (890 PLN per segment), allowing patients to combine multiple spinal levels in one visit if clinically indicated.
