About this treatment
Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightens the underlying abdominal muscles. It is particularly effective for addressing the changes that pregnancy, significant weight loss, or aging cause to the midsection — stretched or separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), loose skin, and stubborn belly fat.
A full tummy tuck includes muscle repair, skin removal, and navel repositioning. A mini tummy tuck addresses only the area below the navel with a smaller incision. The procedure takes 2–4 hours under general anesthesia and requires 2–4 weeks of recovery.
