Carboxytherapy

Type

Mesotherapy

Duration

30 min

Carboxytherapy delivers tiny, controlled amounts of medical carbon dioxide just under the skin to support microcirculation and skin quality, used for under-eye shadows, dull facial skin, cellulite and localised fat. At Mediclaser it is priced per area, from the eyes and face up to thighs and buttocks, with a scalp protocol for thinning hair. A short course is typically associated with the most noticeable improvement.

Carboxytherapy is a treatment in which a very small, controlled volume of medical-grade carbon dioxide gas is introduced just beneath the skin through a fine needle. The local increase in carbon dioxide is intended to encourage blood vessels to widen and improve microcirculation in the area, which is associated with better oxygen delivery, fresher-looking skin and, over a course, improvements in the appearance of cellulite and the dark shadows that can sit under the eyes. At Mediclaser a session takes around twenty to thirty minutes and a brief stinging or pressure sensation as the gas disperses is normal; this settles quickly and downtime is minimal, with possible short-lived redness or a crackling feeling under the skin. Because the effect is cumulative, carboxytherapy works best as a course of several sessions spaced a week or so apart, followed by occasional maintenance. The clinic prices the under-eye area, the face, neck and décolleté and their combinations, as well as body concerns such as localised fat deposits, arm laxity and cellulite on the legs, thighs and buttocks; a scalp protocol is also offered to support thinning hair. It pairs well with other skin treatments as part of a wider plan. Suitability and any contraindications are confirmed during the medical interview, and the treatment is avoided in pregnancy.
