Type
Full Body Checkup
Duration
3 hours
A three-hour mid-tier screening that adds chest CT imaging and expanded ultrasonography options to the Comprehensive package. Designed for adults in their thirties and forties, this tier introduces cross-sectional imaging for more detailed lung and thoracic evaluation while retaining all core blood work, cancer markers, and gastric screening.
The Plus Comprehensive Checkup at MEDICHECK bridges the gap between the foundational Comprehensive tier and the more intensive In-Depth packages, adding imaging modalities that become increasingly relevant as patients move through their thirties and into their forties. The most significant addition is chest CT, which provides cross-sectional imaging of the lungs, mediastinum, and thoracic structures at a resolution far beyond what standard chest X-ray can achieve. Low-dose chest CT has been validated as a screening tool for early-stage lung cancer, with studies demonstrating meaningful reductions in lung cancer mortality compared to X-ray screening alone. The CT also evaluates hilar and mediastinal lymph nodes, pleural surfaces, and the thoracic aorta, providing incidental findings that can prompt early intervention for conditions like thoracic aortic aneurysm. Expanded ultrasonography options allow patients to add targeted imaging beyond the standard abdominal scan. Depending on clinical indication and patient preference, these may include thyroid ultrasound to evaluate nodules and structural abnormalities, or gender-specific pelvic imaging. These additions turn the ultrasound component from a standardised abdominal survey into a more personalised diagnostic evaluation. The core laboratory panel carries over from the Comprehensive tier: complete blood count, liver and kidney function, lipid profile, fasting glucose, thyroid function, cancer markers, and urinalysis. The gastric diagnostic choice between gastroscopy and alternative testing remains available. Abdominal ultrasound, chest X-ray, and ECG are all retained as baseline components. The additional imaging extends the appointment time to approximately three hours, though the MEDICHECK facility is designed to move patients through each station efficiently. Results are compiled alongside the CT images into a report with English translation, and the physician consultation covers the expanded findings with particular attention to any CT abnormalities that may require follow-up imaging or specialist referral.
