Thigh Lift (Inner Thigh Plastic Surgery)

An inner thigh lift at MEDICent removes the loose, sagging skin of the inner thigh that develops after significant weight loss or with ageing — restoring a firmer contour and ending the chafing and discomfort of skin-on-skin friction. The procedure costs 55,000–65,000 Kč with anaesthesia included, performed by doc. MUDr. Tomáš Kempný, Ph.D. with scar placement in the groin crease and, where needed, along the inner thigh.

The inner thigh has some of the thinnest, least elastic skin on the body, which is why it sags early after weight loss and with age — and why exercise, which builds the muscle beneath, cannot tighten the skin envelope above it. Beyond appearance, inner-thigh laxity causes real daily friction: chafing when walking, irritation in warm weather, and difficulty with fitted clothing. **The procedure:** Under anaesthesia managed by the clinic's anaesthesiology team (included in the price), the surgeon removes the excess skin and fat through an incision concealed in the groin crease; with greater laxity, a vertical extension along the inner thigh allows removal of the full surplus. Limited liposuction is often combined for an even contour. The tissue is anchored securely so the lift holds rather than migrating downward. Surgery takes 2–2.5 hours. **Recovery:** Compression garments for 4–6 weeks; walking from day one, but wide-legged sitting, squatting, and sport are restricted for 4–6 weeks while the closure consolidates. Keeping the groin incision clean and dry in the first weeks is the main aftercare task. Desk work is realistic at 1–2 weeks. **Scars:** The groin-crease scar hides in underwear lines; any vertical component sits on the inner thigh, visible only with legs apart. Scars fade substantially over 12–18 months. **Candidates:** Best at a stable weight with predominantly skin (not fat) excess.
