The surgeon contours through millimetre incisions using fine cannulas, and the removed fat cells do not return.

Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a weight-loss method — and used correctly on the right candidate, it is one of the most reliable operations in aesthetic surgery. The fat cells removed are gone permanently; remaining cells can still enlarge with weight gain, so results are best maintained at a stable weight. **Areas treated at MEDICent:** - *Abdomen (30,000–40,000 Kč):* the classic stubborn lower-belly pad and flank roll. - *Outer thighs / saddlebags and inner thighs (30,000–40,000 Kč):* genetically determined deposits that often persist in otherwise slim women. - *Knees (25,000–30,000 Kč):* small but disproportionate inner-knee pads. - *Face and neck (30,000–40,000 Kč):* double chin and jawline definition. **The procedure:** Tumescent fluid (saline with local anaesthetic and adrenaline) is infiltrated into the area to minimise bleeding and discomfort, then fat is removed through 2–4 mm incisions with fine cannulas, sculpting evenly to keep the surface smooth. Depending on the extent, the procedure runs under local anaesthesia with sedation or deeper anaesthesia, managed by the clinic's anaesthesiologists and included in the price. **Recovery:** A compression garment is worn for 4–6 weeks — this is essential for smooth skin retraction. Bruising and swelling settle over 2–3 weeks; desk work is realistic within a few days to a week. The contour improves progressively as swelling resolves, with the final result at about 3 months. **Candidate honesty:** Liposuction works best where skin elasticity is good. Where skin is already loose — post-pregnancy abdomen with diastasis, for example — abdominoplasty may serve better, and the consultation will say so.
