Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Blepharoplasty at MEDICent removes the excess skin and protruding fat that make eyes look tired, hooded, or puffy. Upper-lid surgery (from 16,500 Kč) excises the surplus skin fold that can weigh on the lashes and narrow the visual field; lower-lid surgery (from 17,500 Kč) addresses under-eye bags and lax skin. Both are performed under analgosedation — light sleep with local anaesthesia, included in the price — so the experience is comfortable without full general anaesthesia. Patients go home the same day.

The eyelids are usually the first facial area to show ageing: upper-lid skin stretches into a hooded fold, and the fat pads around the eye begin to bulge as their retaining membrane weakens, creating permanent under-eye bags that no cream resolves. Blepharoplasty corrects both with discreet incisions hidden in natural lines. **Upper blepharoplasty (16,500–18,500 Kč):** Through an incision concealed in the natural lid crease, the surgeon removes the measured excess of skin and, where needed, a small amount of bulging fat. The scar sits invisibly in the fold when the eyes are open. The change reads as fresher and more awake rather than operated — and in advanced cases it restores the upper field of vision. **Lower blepharoplasty (17,500–19,500 Kč):** Through an incision just under the lash line (or inside the lid where only fat needs addressing), protruding fat pads are removed or repositioned to smooth the lid-cheek junction, and lax skin is conservatively tightened. **Anaesthesia:** MEDICent performs eyelid surgery under analgosedation — you sleep lightly while the anaesthesiologist monitors you, and the area is fully numbed. This is included in the published price, with dedicated anaesthesiologists (MUDr. Kufa, MUDr. Haiduk) present. **Recovery:** Bruising and swelling settle over 7–14 days; fine sutures are removed around day 5–7. Most patients are socially presentable with light makeup at 10–14 days.
