FotoFinder digital mole mapping uses the FotoFinder ATBM system to take standardised whole-body skin photographs and detailed dermoscopic images of selected moles, which are securely archived so changes in size, structure or pigmentation can be tracked over time. At Medica Aesthetica dermatologist prim. MUDr. Zdena Stratilová reviews the imaging to support early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers. The examination is painless and needs no recovery.
FotoFinder digital mole mapping is a dermatological imaging examination that combines standardised total-body photography with high-magnification digital dermoscopy. The FotoFinder ATBM system photographs the whole skin surface in a reproducible way and then captures detailed close-up images of individual lesions; because the images are stored, the same mole can be compared precisely from one visit to the next, revealing subtle changes in size, shape, colour or structure that are hard to judge by eye alone. This makes it a valuable tool for the early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers. At Medica Aesthetica the examination is performed by dermatologist prim. MUDr. Zdena Stratilová and begins with a consultation about your skin, family history and any moles that concern you. Standardised full-body photographs are taken, and any significant or atypical lesions are imaged in detail with the dermoscope; all images are archived securely for future comparison. The process is painless, relatively quick and requires no recovery, so you can return to normal activities straight away. It is particularly recommended for people with many pigmented moles, a personal or family history of skin cancer, atypical moles or other risk factors, and for anyone wanting structured long-term skin surveillance. Annual screening is generally advised, with higher-risk patients seen more often; the dermatologist will advise on the right interval and on any lesion that warrants closer follow-up or removal. This is a private, self-pay diagnostic service rather than an insurance-covered examination.
