Veneers are thin, custom-made shells — in porcelain or, more economically, in composite — that are bonded to the visible surface of the front teeth to refine their shape, colour, length and alignment. They are a popular way to address discoloured, chipped, worn or slightly uneven teeth and to create a brighter, more harmonious smile while conserving as much natural tooth as possible. At MediArt Clinic the dental team offers several veneer approaches: traditional prepared porcelain veneers, full-contour porcelain veneers, and no-prep veneers that require little or no grinding of the underlying tooth, alongside a chairside composite (bonding) option for smaller corrections or a lower-cost route. Many cases begin with Digital Smile Design — a planning protocol using scans, photographs and a wax-up or mock-up — so the proposed shape and proportions can be visualised and discussed before treatment starts. Porcelain veneers are made in a laboratory and bonded at a later visit, while composite veneers are built up directly in a single appointment.
