RF Microneedling (Vivace)

Vivace combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered into the skin to tighten laxity and improve texture more powerfully than microneedling alone. The fine needles create micro-channels that stimulate collagen while radiofrequency heats the deeper dermis to firm the skin. At Medestetic it is used for the cheeks, acne-prone skin, scars and stretch marks, and works best as a short course spaced a few weeks apart.

Vivace is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling system that pairs the collagen-stimulating effect of microneedling with controlled RF energy released from the needle tips into the deeper layers of the skin. While the micro-needles create thousands of tiny channels that trigger the skin's surface healing response, the radiofrequency heats the dermis to contract existing collagen and prompt new collagen and elastin — giving a firming, smoothing effect that plain microneedling cannot achieve on its own. At Medestetic the area is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around forty-five to sixty minutes. Expect redness and a feeling of mild tightness or warmth for a day or two, with little other downtime. The centre uses Vivace for several concerns: refining the cheeks and acne-prone skin, softening scars, and improving the appearance of stretch marks on the body. Because results build as collagen remodels, a course of around three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is recommended, with improvement continuing over the following months and occasional maintenance thereafter. Strict sun protection afterwards is important, and the treatment is avoided over active acne or infection and in pregnancy.
