Lip augmentation uses soft, cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler to enhance the lips' volume, shape and border definition while keeping movement and proportion natural. Treatment begins with a discussion of your goals — more hydration and a tidy border, a little extra fullness, or correction of asymmetry — and the physician recommends placement and volume accordingly, working in a single millilitre per session.

A strong topical anaesthetic is applied and the lip products also contain lidocaine, so the procedure is generally well tolerated.
