Surgical removal of teeth that cannot be taken out by simple extraction — most commonly impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth, deeply broken-down teeth and retained roots. These cases are handled by Medent's maxillofacial surgeon, founder Dr Sebastian Soroko, under local anaesthetic. The fee reflects the difficulty of access and the position of the tooth. The clinic also performs root-tip resection (apicectomy) to save selected teeth with persistent infection at the root apex.
About this treatment
Surgical tooth removal is used when a tooth cannot be extracted by a simple technique — for instance an impacted or partially erupted wisdom tooth, a tooth broken off at the gumline, or a retained root tip.
