Platelet-rich plasma uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate its platelets and growth factors, which is then re-introduced into the skin to support repair and rejuvenation. About this treatment
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a regenerative treatment that uses components from your own blood. A small sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets, which carry growth factors associated with tissue repair and collagen production. This concentrated plasma is then injected into the skin or applied alongside microneedling to support rejuvenation of tone, texture and firmness.
At Med-Derm the process — blood draw, preparation and treatment — takes around forty-five to sixty minutes, with numbing for comfort.
