High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) delivers focused ultrasound energy to the deeper layers of the skin to support tightening and a subtle lifting effect without surgery or surface injury. At Med-Derm it is used on the face, neck and décolletage as well as selected body areas, making it a non-invasive option for early laxity. Because collagen responds gradually, the firming effect builds over the months after a session.
About this treatment
HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) lifting focuses ultrasound energy at precise depths beneath the skin's surface to create small zones of controlled thermal stimulation in the deeper support layers. This prompts the skin to contract existing collagen and produce new collagen over time, which is associated with gradual firming and a modest lifting effect — all without breaking the skin surface, so there is essentially no wound to heal.
At Med-Derm the treatment is mapped to the area being addressed, most commonly the lower face, jawline, neck and décolletage, with smaller settings for the delicate eyelid area and options for body zones such as the arms, abdomen and knees.
