The doctor takes a history, examines the relevant areas and explains what the findings suggest, then outlines options that may range from topical or oral treatment to further diagnostics such as dermoscopy, a mycological test or a biopsy. Conditions commonly assessed include acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, nail disorders and skin lesions that a patient wants checked. The practice was founded in 1999 and is led by Dr Tomasz Janik, a dermatologist and venereologist, with a team covering adult and paediatric dermatology. For patients who cannot attend in person, the clinic offers a video or teleconsultation at the same price, which can be useful for reviewing a known condition, discussing results or deciding whether an in-person visit is needed. Where a mole or lesion needs closer evaluation, the dermatologist may recommend dermoscopy, and any minor surgical removal or biopsy is arranged and quoted separately.
