Type

Red Light Therapy

Duration

15 min

Infrared light therapy (Sollux lamp) for superficial tissue warming, pain relief, and circulation improvement in rehabilitation settings.

Light therapy at MCK uses infrared Sollux lamps to deliver warming infrared radiation to the treatment area. The infrared wavelengths penetrate the skin and superficial tissue layers, producing a deep warming effect that increases local blood flow, relaxes muscles, and reduces pain. Sollux IR therapy is commonly used as a preparatory treatment before manual therapy or exercise — the tissue warming improves extensibility and reduces pain sensitivity, allowing more effective subsequent treatment. It is also used independently for chronic pain conditions, muscle tension, and circulatory support. The treatment is gentle, relaxing, and well-tolerated. At 30 PLN per session, it is one of the most affordable rehabilitation modalities at MCK.
