A titanium implant placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth's root, later restored with a crown for a fixed, natural-looking and natural-feeling replacement. Materna Dental works with established implant systems (MIS, BICON, SGS) and plans placement digitally using on-site CBCT imaging and, where helpful, a surgical guide for accurate positioning. Implants help preserve jawbone and avoid cutting down neighbouring teeth. The fee shown is for the implant itself; the crown is priced separately and the post-placement check is free.
About this treatment
A dental implant replaces the root of a lost tooth with a small titanium screw that integrates with the jawbone over a healing period, providing a stable foundation for a crown. Compared with a conventional bridge, an implant does not require grinding down the adjacent teeth, and by transmitting chewing forces into the bone it helps maintain bone volume that otherwise tends to shrink after tooth loss. The implant is placed under local anaesthetic, and after a healing phase during which it fuses with the bone (osseointegration), it is restored with a custom crown — offered in porcelain-fused-to-metal, full-ceramic or the clinic's premium LAVA ceramic.
