About this treatment
Laser tattoo removal works by directing short, intense pulses of laser light at the tattoo, where the energy is absorbed by the ink and shatters it into much smaller fragments. The body's immune system then gradually carries those fragments away over the following weeks, so the tattoo fades progressively after each session rather than disappearing at once. At Marosz the treated area is assessed and the session — usually a few minutes to around half an hour depending on size — feels like elastic-band snaps against the skin; numbing or cooling can be used for comfort. Afterwards the area is typically red, swollen and may blister or scab, and it must be kept clean and protected from the sun while it heals.
