About this treatment
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers work by temporarily restoring volume and hydration to areas of the face that have lost them through the natural ageing process — midface fat pad deflation, perioral volume loss, lip thinning, and brow descent are all processes that begin in the mid-20s and accelerate after 40. Cannula technique is preferred at many of the deeper injection planes — the cheek, temple, and jawline — because the blunt tip navigates between tissue planes without puncturing vessels, reducing bruising risk significantly. Needle technique is used for precise superficial placement in areas where cannula access is limited, such as the vermilion border of the lip.
