Type
Body Contouring
Duration
40 min
Non-invasive ultrasound cavitation to selectively disrupt localised fat deposits and improve body contour without surgery or downtime. Luna Klinik applies focused low-frequency ultrasound waves to the treatment area, generating rapid pressure oscillations that cause fat cell membranes to rupture through the cavitation effect. The released triglycerides are then processed through the lymphatic system and metabolised by the liver. Available for both facial contouring (from 2,200 Kč) and larger body areas including abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms (from 4,400 Kč), with a recommended course of 6–10 sessions for best results.
Ultrasound cavitation lipolysis uses low-frequency focused ultrasound (typically 20–60 kHz) to create a physical effect called acoustic cavitation in fat tissue. When these ultrasound waves pass through the fat layer, they generate rapidly alternating regions of high and low pressure. During the low-pressure phase, micro-bubbles of gas form in the fluid between fat cells; during the high-pressure phase, these bubbles implode violently in a process called inertial cavitation. The mechanical energy released by the implosion is highly localised and selectively damages adipocyte (fat cell) membranes, causing them to release their triglyceride content into the surrounding interstitium without affecting the blood vessels, nerves or skin above and below the fat layer. The released fatty acids and glycerol then enter the lymphatic system and are transported to the liver, where they are metabolised as normal dietary fats. This is why adequate hydration and light physical activity in the 24 to 48 hours following each session are important — they support lymphatic clearance and the body's ability to process the released lipids. At Luna Klinik the device is applied via a handheld transducer that moves slowly over the treatment zone in methodical overlapping passes, with a coupling gel ensuring good acoustic contact. Patients typically hear a mild buzzing or ringing in the ears during treatment (a normal acoustic effect), feel gentle warmth, and experience no pain. Sessions run 30 to 50 minutes depending on the area. For facial contouring — reducing fullness in the lower face, jowl area or submentum — the smaller-area protocol is used with carefully calibrated lower energy; for body areas such as the abdomen, flanks, outer thighs and arms, the larger area protocol applies. Results are cumulative: a meaningful circumferential reduction is typically measurable after a course of six to ten sessions spaced one to two weeks apart, with progressive improvement as the cleared fat cells are not replaced. Cavitation is a complementary technique and works best for patients who are at or near their target weight but have persistent localised fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise.

Who Is This For?
Adults near target weight with persistent localised fat on the face, abdomen, flanks, thighs or arms wanting non-surgical contouring
What's Included
Preparation Required
Drink 1.5–2 litres of water on treatment day and the day after to support lymphatic clearance. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before. Light exercise such as walking after the session speeds results. Not suitable for patients with liver disease, pacemakers or during pregnancy.
Smaller area (face, neck): from 2,200 Kč / 30–50 min. Larger body area: from 4,400 Kč / 30–50 min. For body contouring a course of 6–10 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart is recommended for cumulative fat-reduction results. First-visit 10% discount applies on amounts over 2,000 Kč.
