Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that is too damaged, decayed or problematic to keep. An extraction is the removal of a tooth, recommended when a tooth cannot be saved by other treatment — for example because of severe decay, advanced gum disease, a fracture below the gum, or because it is impacted and causing problems. Removing wisdom teeth (third molars) is also common when they are unable to erupt properly, are repeatedly inflamed or are crowding other teeth.
