Composite (Light-Cured) Filling

A composite filling repairs a tooth affected by decay or minor damage using a tooth-coloured resin that is hardened with a curing light. At LuksDent fillings are priced by how many surfaces of the tooth are involved, from 400 zł for a single surface up to 500–600 zł for a three-surface filling, with larger rebuilds at 600 zł. A filling restores a tooth that has been weakened by decay, wear or a small fracture. The dentist removes the decayed or damaged part of the tooth, cleans the cavity and fills it with a tooth-coloured composite resin that is built up in layers and set hard with a curing light. Composite (light-cured) fillings bond to the tooth and are matched to its natural shade, so they are far less visible than older metal fillings and let the dentist conserve more of the healthy tooth. At LuksDent fillings are priced according to how much of the tooth needs rebuilding, measured by the number of surfaces involved: a single-surface filling is 400–450 zł, a two-surface filling 450–500 zł, and a three-surface filling 500–600 zł. A more extensive reconstruction of a badly broken-down tooth is 600 zł, and fillings in children's baby teeth are 200–300 zł. Treatment is usually completed in a single visit under local anaesthesia, with The Wand computer-controlled anaesthesia available for a gentler injection. Once the filling is placed and shaped, the dentist checks and adjusts your bite so the tooth feels comfortable. Treating decay early with a filling helps avoid more involved treatment such as root canal therapy or extraction later on. The dentist will advise on care and on reducing the risk of further decay, and any tooth that has lost a large amount of structure may be better restored with an inlay, onlay or crown, which the clinic also offers.
