Porcelain & Zirconia Crowns

A dental crown is a custom cap that covers a damaged, heavily filled or root-treated tooth to restore its strength and shape. LuksDent offers porcelain crowns on a metal base from 1,600 zł and metal-free full-ceramic crowns on a zirconia base for 2,100 zł, which give a particularly natural look. Crowns are colour-matched to your teeth and are used to protect a weakened tooth or improve its appearance. Temporary crowns and cementation are also available.

A crown is a tooth-shaped cover that is fitted over a natural tooth to rebuild it when too much structure has been lost to decay, a large filling, a fracture or root canal treatment. By encasing the remaining tooth, a crown restores its shape, size and biting strength and protects it from further damage. Crowns are also used to improve the appearance of discoloured or misshapen teeth. At LuksDent you can choose between a porcelain crown fused to a metal base (1,600–1,700 zł), which combines strength with a tooth-like surface, and a metal-free full-ceramic crown on a zirconia core (2,100 zł), which transmits light more like a natural tooth and avoids any metal showing at the gum line — often preferred for front teeth. A porcelain crown on a gold base is also offered at 1,700 zł plus the cost of the gold. Treatment usually takes two visits: at the first the tooth is prepared and shaped, an impression or scan is taken, and a temporary crown (100–200 zł) protects it; at the second the laboratory-made crown is checked for fit and shade and cemented in place (cementation 200 zł). The dentist will advise which material suits the tooth's position and your bite, and how to care for the crown. With good hygiene and regular check-ups, crowns are associated with many years of service.
