Lifescan Medical & Wellness provides a comprehensive men's health programme specifically designed to address the physical and hormonal changes men experience from their thirties onwards. Led by Dr Derek Koh — who holds both ACAAM board certification and local accreditation in Practical Andrology from the Academy of Men's Health Singapore — the programme takes a proactive approach to male health optimisation. The men's health panel begins with an assessment of testosterone status, measuring serum total testosterone, free testosterone (calculated), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), luteinising hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol, and prolactin. Symptoms of andropause such as low energy, reduced libido, mood changes, muscle loss, increased body fat, and poor sleep are evaluated in the context of these biomarkers. The panel is complemented by cardiovascular risk markers (lipid profile, hsCRP, homocysteine), metabolic assessment (fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin), prostate health (PSA), liver and kidney function, full blood count, and a urinalysis. For men concerned about fertility, an optional semen analysis is available. Higher-tier men's health packages (Premium and Solitaire) include additional cancer markers, imaging, and MRI. Lifestyle factors — exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress — are addressed in the consultation, with Dr Koh drawing on his EIMS certification in Exercise Prescription from the American College of Sports Medicine.
