Kybella (deoxycholic acid) injections to permanently reduce submental fat (double chin) without surgery. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that disrupts and destroys fat cell membranes when injected into the submental fat pad, with the body clearing the disrupted cells over four to eight weeks. Most patients require two to four treatment sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Swelling for three to five days is expected post-treatment.
