About this treatment
Hyperhidrosis — excessive, uncontrollable sweating disproportionate to thermoregulatory need — affects approximately 3% of the population and is most commonly focal in distribution, affecting the axillae (underarms), palms, soles, or craniofacial region. Who is this for?
Primary focal axillary hyperhidrosis, excessive palm or sole sweating, craniofacial sweating; anyone for whom antiperspirants provide inadequate control
Preparation required
Do not shave the underarms on the day of treatment (shave 1–2 days before). Arrive with clean, deodorant-free skin in the treatment area. If opting for EMLA cream, arrange to apply it 30–45 minutes before the appointment. Avoid exercise for 24 hours after the session.
