The consultation covers the patient's motivation and expectations, a clinical assessment of the skin or lesion(s) in question, explanation of relevant treatment approaches and their expected outcomes, and any contraindications or preparation requirements. All injectable and laser procedures at the clinic are preceded by consultation. Follow-up check-up appointments to review treatment progress are provided free of charge. The consultation fee is 300 Kč and may be credited toward any treatment booked on the same visit.

The dermatology consultation at Laserstudio is the entry point for all physician-supervised treatments — botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, plasma lifting, mole removal, and any procedure requiring a clinical decision before treatment proceeds. It is also recommended for patients who are unsure which treatment is appropriate for their concern, or who wish to understand all available options before committing. MUDr. Bednář conducts each consultation personally. The session begins with an open discussion of the patient's primary concern, their previous treatment history (including any prior laser, injectable, or surgical procedures), and their desired outcome. This is followed by a clinical skin assessment: for moles and lesions, the dermatologist applies a handheld dermatoscope to evaluate each lesion under polarised light magnification; for cosmetic concerns (wrinkles, volume loss, pigmentation), he assesses the skin under clinical lighting and may photograph the relevant area for the patient record. Following assessment, MUDr. Bednář presents the recommended treatment approach, including the specific modality, session schedule, expected outcomes, and any risks or contraindications. For patients who require time to consider, the consultation is non-committal — the 300 Kč fee covers the dermatologist's time, and no pressure is placed on booking a treatment at the same visit. All follow-up check-up appointments — to assess healing after mole removal, review the response to a course of peeling, or check the outcome of an injectable treatment — are offered free of charge. This aftercare structure reflects the clinic's emphasis on individual follow-through rather than volume throughput. The consultation fee is typically credited toward any treatment booked at the same visit, making the effective consultation cost zero for patients who proceed. For patients referred from their GP or another specialist, MUDr. Bednář can review any previous dermatological records or biopsy reports brought to the appointment.
