Fractional laser resurfacing treats the skin in microscopic columns, stimulating collagen renewal to improve texture, fine lines, acne scarring and photoageing while leaving surrounding skin intact for faster recovery. Fractional laser resurfacing divides the laser beam into many tiny microbeams that create a grid of microscopic treatment columns in the skin, leaving healthy tissue between them untouched. This fractional pattern triggers a strong collagen- and elastin-remodelling response that smooths texture, softens fine lines, fades acne scarring and improves the dull, mottled look of sun-damaged skin, while the intact bridges of skin between columns allow noticeably quicker healing than older fully ablative resurfacing.
