Polynucleotides (PDRN) are biological molecules that stimulate the skin's own regenerative mechanisms — activating fibroblasts to produce new collagen, improving micro-circulation and reducing puffiness and dark circles by strengthening the supportive tissue beneath the lower lid. The result is a fresher, more rested appearance with reduced discolouration, smoother skin and perceptibly firmer lower eyelids. Polynucleotide injections for eye rejuvenation are one of the most sophisticated non-surgical approaches to the under-eye area currently available in aesthetic medicine. The under-eye zone — the lower eyelid skin and the soft tissue of the tear trough — is among the most challenging areas in facial rejuvenation: the skin is extremely thin (typically 0.5 mm or less), the supportive fat compartments are anatomically variable and may atrophy or herniate with age, and the sensitivity of the area to swelling, bruising and asymmetry is higher than almost any other facial region.
