Injectable Lipolysis (Dermaheal)

Injectable lipolysis at Laser Care MUDr. Šťastná uses Dermaheal — a clinically formulated lipolytic solution — to reduce localised fat deposits through direct injection into the subcutaneous fat layer. The active components disrupt fat cell membranes, releasing triglycerides that are cleared by the lymphatic system and metabolised by the liver. Treatment areas include the double chin, neck, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, arms, upper and lower abdomen, shoulder fat pads, hands and back. Unlike surgical liposuction, injectable lipolysis requires no general anaesthesia, no compression garments, and no recovery leave — patients can resume normal activity the same day. Injectable lipolysis is a non-surgical fat reduction technique in which a phosphatidylcholine- and deoxycholate-based solution is injected directly into subcutaneous adipose tissue, where the active compounds interact with fat cell (adipocyte) membranes. The mechanism of action involves destabilisation of the adipocyte cell membrane by deoxycholic acid — a bile acid that solubilises lipid bilayers — and phosphatidylcholine, which functions as a membrane emulsifier. Once the membrane is disrupted, the cell releases its contents: triglycerides are broken into fatty acids and glycerol, which enter the local interstitial fluid, are taken up by the lymphatic system and transported to the liver for metabolic processing and elimination. The fat cells that have been disrupted by this process do not regenerate, making the reduction permanent in the treated area — though weight gain can produce enlargement of remaining fat cells in neighbouring untreated areas. At Laser Care, the product used is Dermaheal, a commercially available injectable lipolysis preparation that combines phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate with supporting co-factors. MUDr. Šťastná administers the injections using fine needles in a systematic grid pattern across the fat pad being treated, with each injection point delivering a small depot of the lipolytic solution. The treatment causes a predictable local inflammatory response: the treated area swells, feels firm and may be tender and red for two to five days as the fat cells are cleared. This swelling can be initially noticeable but resolves naturally as the lymphatic system processes the released lipids, and the fat reduction becomes progressively visible over two to four weeks after each session. This approach is particularly suited to isolated fat deposits that persist despite diet and exercise — the submental area (double chin) and neck, where even modest fat reduction has a significant visual effect on the jawline; the inner thighs; the 'pillow' fat pads of the shoulders; and the arms, abdomen and buttocks. For cellulite on the thighs and buttocks, injectable lipolysis is most effective when combined with mesotherapy as a complementary session, addressing both the fat layer and the overlying skin quality simultaneously. MUDr. Šťastná's positioning of these two treatments as a combination reflects the clinic's integrated approach to body treatment. A course of two to four sessions at six to eight week intervals is recommended, as the lymphatic clearance of released fat requires time between sessions and results build cumulatively. The first session typically produces visible results within two to three weeks.
