About this treatment
Celiac disease has a strong genetic component tied to the HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 markers; their absence makes celiac disease very unlikely, which makes genetic testing useful for ruling out predisposition. LABSHOP's celiac genetic test analyses these HLA-DQ markers to assess genetic risk.
The test is well suited to people with relatives who have celiac disease, those with ambiguous serology, and anyone wanting to clarify genetic predisposition before or alongside dietary changes. A serological celiac screen (570 Kč) is available for antibody-based screening, and genetic tests for histamine and lactose intolerance are offered at 1,800 Kč each. Genetic results indicate predisposition, not active disease, and are best interpreted with a physician.
