Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) at Centrum kyslíkové terapie is delivered in an HPO Giza single-user hard-shell chamber operating at up to 2.4 ATA — a meaningfully higher pressure band than the soft-shell 1.3–1.5 ATA capsules that dominate the Czech retail wellness market, and closer to hospital hyperbaric units used for clinical indications.
During a session you breathe 100% medical-grade oxygen through a BIBS (Built-In Breathing System) mask while resting in a comfortable reclining chair inside the pressurised chamber. Preparation required
Avoid alcohol and heavy meals 2–3 hours before your session. Wear loose comfortable clothing without metal fastenings or strong fragrances; cosmetics and perfumes are not permitted inside the chamber. Inform staff of any cold/flu symptoms — ear-equalisation can be uncomfortable when congested. Bring a water bottle. Sessions are not advised during pregnancy, with active middle-ear infection, untreated pneumothorax, recent ear surgery, or unstable cardiovascular conditions. Discuss any medical conditions with the clinic before booking your first session.
