Hydrogen therapy at Centrum kyslíkové terapie is delivered as an inhaled gas mix combining molecular hydrogen (H₂) with oxygen at roughly a 3:1 ratio, breathed through a mask or hydrogen-glasses (nasal cannula) in a relaxed seated position. Molecular hydrogen is being studied as a selective antioxidant — the working hypothesis is that H₂ neutralises hydroxyl radicals (•OH) and peroxynitrite (ONOO⁻), the most cytotoxic reactive oxygen species, while leaving signalling ROS intact, with downstream effects on inflammation, mitochondrial function, and recovery. The clinic offers two session lengths — 30 minutes (a short, light dose suited to slotting alongside other modalities) and 60 minutes (the standard stand-alone session). Both are non-invasive, clothed, and require no specific preparation beyond arriving hydrated. Sessions are commonly stacked with HBOT or pelvic-floor / muscle-stimulation visits in the same booking window.
