Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular entry-level skin-resurfacing treatments: a controlled, progressive mechanical exfoliation of the stratum corneum — the outermost layer of dead skin cells — performed without chemicals, needles, or downtime.
How it works
A precision abrasive head (or crystal stream, depending on device) is passed systematically across the skin under light vacuum, lifting away dead cells and surface debris. Removing this dulling outer layer immediately reveals fresher skin beneath, while the mild mechanical stimulus encourages cell turnover and microcirculation in the days that follow.

Preparation required
Avoid retinoids and strong exfoliating acids for 2–3 days before and after. Do not book over active acne pustules, herpes, eczema, or sunburnt skin. Use SPF for several days after treatment.
