Botulinum toxin injections soften the expression lines that form when facial muscles contract — frown lines between the brows, forehead lines and crow's feet. About this treatment
Anti-wrinkle injections use small, carefully placed doses of botulinum toxin to temporarily reduce the activity of selected facial muscles. When those muscles contract less strongly, the overlying skin creases less and existing dynamic lines soften over the following days. The treatment is delivered in the aesthetic-medicine part of KM Dental Experts by a doctor, beginning with an assessment of how your face moves and a discussion of the areas to treat.
The most common sites are the glabella (frown lines), the forehead and the lateral eye area (crow's feet), and the centre's price list also includes more specific uses: softening bunny lines on the nose, a chin treatment, correcting a gummy smile, easing smoker's lines and a mezobotox approach for skin quality. The injections take only a few minutes with a very fine needle and usually need no anaesthetic; most people return to normal activities the same day while avoiding heat, vigorous exercise and lying flat for the rest of the day. Results begin after a few days, settle within about two weeks and typically last three to four months before movement gradually returns.
