A dedicated phlebology service treating visible spider veins and larger varicose veins using laser, sclerotherapy injections and radiofrequency vein ablation, chosen to suit the type and size of vein. Treatment is led by a vascular specialist and usually preceded by a duplex Doppler ultrasound to map the veins. Both cosmetic spider veins and symptomatic varicose veins can be addressed, with the approach and price set after assessment.
Klinika Złotowska runs a vascular (phlebology) service for both fine cosmetic spider veins and larger, sometimes symptomatic varicose veins. The right approach depends on the type and size of the vessels, which is why treatment usually begins with a duplex Doppler ultrasound to map blood flow and identify any underlying faulty veins before a plan is made. For small surface telangiectasia, a vascular laser delivers energy that heats and closes the vessel, while sclerotherapy injects a solution that irritates the vein wall so it seals and fades over the following weeks — both are quick outpatient treatments, often needing more than one session for the best clearance, which is reflected in the price range. For larger truncal varicose veins, the clinic offers minimally invasive endovenous radiofrequency ablation, in which a catheter heats and closes the faulty vein from within under local anaesthetic, as a modern alternative to traditional stripping; miniphlebectomy to remove bulging surface veins through tiny incisions is also available. After treatment, compression stockings are usually worn for a period and normal walking is encouraged, while prolonged standing, heat and strenuous exercise are limited briefly. Because vein treatment is highly individual, the surgeon sets the precise approach and cost after the ultrasound assessment; suitability and any contraindications are reviewed beforehand.
