A compression garment is worn for several weeks afterwards to support healing and help the skin redrape; bruising and swelling are expected and settle over the following weeks, with the final contour emerging as the swelling fully resolves over a few months. Where it suits the plan, fat removed by liposuction can be purified and re-injected to add volume elsewhere — for example a facial lipotransfer — which the clinic also offers.
