Chemical peels apply a controlled acid solution to exfoliate the skin's surface and encourage renewal, supporting a brighter, smoother and more even complexion. The right peel is chosen after a skin assessment, and a course is often recommended.

About this treatment

A chemical peel uses a solution of acids — such as glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, lactic or trichloroacetic acid, alone or in blends — applied to the skin for a controlled time to loosen and remove dead surface cells and prompt renewal of the layers beneath. Depending on the strength used, peels are associated with a brighter, smoother complexion, more even tone and a softened look of fine lines, congestion or pigmentation.

At Klinika Urody VITA the skin is cleansed and the chosen peel applied; you may feel tingling or warmth during the few minutes it is on. Lighter peels typically cause mild redness and perhaps slight flaking over the next days, while stronger or branded medical peels such as PRX-T33, Retix C and BioRePeel can prompt more visible renewal.
