Carboxytherapy is a treatment in which a small, controlled amount of medical-grade carbon dioxide gas is introduced just beneath the skin through a very fine needle. The localised rise in carbon dioxide is associated with improved micro-circulation and oxygen delivery in the treated area as the body responds, which in turn is linked to support for skin renewal, firmness and the appearance of dark under-eye shadows, cellulite and stretch marks depending on where it is used. At Klinika Urody VITA the gas is delivered through tiny injections across the area; clients often describe a brief tingling, warmth or mild pressure as the gas disperses, which settles quickly. Sessions are short and there is little downtime beyond possible temporary redness or a slight crackling sensation under the skin for a short while.
