Preventive Dermatology Consultation

Preventive dermatology is based on a simple principle: skin cancer and other dermatological conditions caught early are far more manageable than those found late. During the consultation a board-certified dermatovenereologist takes a structured personal and family history, noting risk factors such as fair skin phototype, prior sunburns, family history of melanoma, mole count and any existing diagnosed skin conditions. Any lesion requiring closer documentation is photographed or noted for follow-up monitoring.
