Liposuction (Tumescent)

Liposuction at GISANT removes localised, diet-resistant fat to refine body contours, using the tumescent technique through small (about 10 mm) incisions. It is a contouring procedure rather than a treatment for obesity, with a maximum of roughly 2,000–3,000 ml removed per session. Pricing is tiered by volume — CZK 32,000 for up to 2 litres, CZK 45,000 up to 4 litres, CZK 56,000 up to 6 litres — with a dedicated submental (chin) option at CZK 18,000. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia with a one-night stay. A compression garment is worn for up to two months, with the final contour emerging at around three months.

Liposuction is a body-contouring procedure that removes pockets of fat resistant to diet and exercise; it is not a weight-loss treatment and is most effective in patients at or near their target weight. GISANT uses the tumescent technique, in which a dilute solution of local anaesthetic and adrenaline is infused into the fat layer before removal. The adrenaline constricts blood vessels to reduce bleeding and bruising, while the fat is aspirated through a thin cannula introduced via incisions of around 10 mm that heal to small, inconspicuous marks. It is not suitable as a treatment for significant overweight. Blood-thinning medication is discontinued before surgery and a pre-operative examination is required for general anaesthesia.
